Good news with energy relief payment of $700 available from July

 In In The News

Perth has been feeling the winter chill for the last couple of weeks. We have all reached for and placed the winter doona on the bed, and the heaters are on morning and night. So, what better time for WA households to receive the first of two energy relief payments?

So, what does this mean for WA households?

Early May the WA State Government announced a $400 credit offset payment for eligible accounts of residential customers called the WA Household Electricity Credit Offset (2024 Offset).

Then mid May the Commonwealth Government announced an additional $300 credit offset payment for eligible accounts of residential customers called the Energy Bill Relief Fund Extension (2024 Offset).

So that is a total of $700 non-refundable credit offset

There will be two instalments of $350 with the first happening from 20 July and the second from 7 December for all eligible residential accounts.
