“If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself”
– Abraham Lincoln
Our team is able to provide our clients with a wealth of property management experience. Our point of difference is that we provide each of our owners with a personalised service and unlike other agencies we have a very low staff turnover.
The Property Exchange provides its staff with excellent working conditions which offers a work life/balance which means everyone here is highly motivated, positive and maintains the highest level of customer service. Everyone works together to take care of paperwork, maintenance, managing tenants and keeping up with legislation so our clients can have freedom and peace of mind, at the same time maximizing their rental income.
We like to take a team approach to managing our clients properties, if for instance your usual property manager is away, there is always one of our experienced team to step in at a moment’s notice. We take the marketing of our rental properties very seriously. We understand that the current rental market is competitive and we have the market knowledge to ensure your property stands out from the rest. Our presentation is second to none, and we only accept maintained properties.
To find out more about the service we provide, please feel free to contact our office on 6380 2200 to arrange an appointment.
I have been a tenant, under a number of agencies for many years, but I have to say, the last 3.5 years being under Kimberley’s management at the Property Exchange has been phenomenal. Through all the ups and downs in life, she has been supportive, informative and is great with her communication. I’ve never had such a positive experience as a tenant and it’s all thanks to Kim! Very highly recommend her and the team at The Property Exchange.
We just wanted to say a massive thank you for your professionalism, amazingly prompt replies and actions. We’re so grateful for your service and support and just wanted to let you know that. You’re honestly one of the best agents I’ve ever had manage a property. So a massive thank you from us and also to the owner for being so accommodating in fixing and actioning requests so quickly.
Melanie and The Property Exchange team have been terrific to deal with for over 3 years in managing our Karrinyup investment property. From admin to service their professional approach has made our life easier at every stage. We especially valued the thorough process by which they qualify and recommend prospective tenants to ensure a mutually beneficial fit. We’d be very happy to recommend Property Exchange to any investment property owner.
Dear Ellerby, Just wanted to say a big thank you before I move out - The Property Exchange have been really excellent to deal with over the two years I have lived here, yourself and Lauren Weniger especially! I'm moving into a private rental, but next time I'm in the rental market I'll definitely get in touch, and of course will always recommend you to friends!
Thanks for keeping us up to date with everything. You do a really great job.
I have recently been a tenant in a property managed by your organisation with Sarah as our agent. I would like to take this opportunity to commend Sarah's work. At all times she provided quality customer service, responded/provided updates in a timely manner, was professional, clear and fair -- including following the final bond inspection! This has been greatly appreciated and made our time in the property stress-less and more comfortable than it otherwise might have been.Thank you for your time and assistance as our agents over the last year and a bit.
I started in the real estate industry in 2006 and found a passion for property management that is second to none. I truly believe that when you are interested in your career learning becomes a hobby rather than a chore, so I have always looked at ways to upskill myself so I could move forward in my chosen career. With my interest and extra training I worked my way up and through the ranks, touching on all facets of property management and received a number of awards and accolades along the way.
I joined The Property Exchange in 2017 as the Head of Property Management – I think as a leader of a team you need to lead the team from the front, have time for your team when they need you and be exceptionally knowledgeable in all areas of property management. Property management is fast paced and unpredictable, something I thrive on and I love using my natural problem-solving skills when there is a problem out of the box. Thought my career, one thing that always seems to repeats itself – not every problem has the same solution!
My ethos is that real estate is a people business and that every person deserves the same attention and respect – owner, tenant or otherwise! Building strong and authentic relationships with my clients and team is paramount to successful transactions and business alike. Integrity is my number one value – this means that honesty and transparency is what you will get when dealing with me.
In 2020 I had the opportunity to become a shareholder in The Property Exchange, an opportunity I am honoured to have been given. TPE is known for being a brand that does things a little bit different to others in the market, harnessing & embracing change and new technologies and most importantly it’s family culture. All of this filters through to the exceptional customer service experience our clients receive. It’s these things I am passionate about continuing on within the business and excited to build on alongside Niki, Julia and Clare.
From a family of sporting fans, I am a passionate AFL supporter (Go the Tigers!) and keep fit through training at Total Movement in Subiaco – check them out, tell Faye & Tony I sent you! My family & friends mean the world to me, so you’ll most likely find me at a family gathering or catching up with friends for some wining and dining on the weekends. When I need some down time there is nothing better than curling up and getting lost in a good book.
Back in 2006 I stumbled into real estate as a Business Development Manager in the Western Suburbs of Perth, where I gained a great understanding of what owners are looking for in their property manager. Values of communication, transparency and being proactive are the qualities that I have learnt and strive to give to my clients on a day to day basis.
In 2008 I decided I should get a deeper understanding of property management and its nuances as I wanted to be able to walk the walk not just talk the talk to potential clients as to why it is so important to choose a rental agency that will deliver on its promises and understand why do things in property management sometimes just go wrong. Since this decision I have had experience of managing properties across much of Perth which has given me a very broad and thorough education in dealing with many interesting aspects of property management. Now I can definitely walk the walk and talk the talk and pride myself on strong and trustworthy client relationships.
I am a member of the Melville Hockey Club and appreciate spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy the Perth’s coastal lifestyle and getting out in the sun and working on my tan.
Like so many others in real estate I stumbled upon property management through my sister when she asked me to work at her company in 2009 in New Zealand. I discovered P.M. not only stands for Property Management but also represents People Management. This excited me as I love working with people and building repour with clients.
In 2011 I made the plunge across the Tasman ditch and continued my love of real estate and the challenges that it brings. I love to rise to a challenge. I have a fastidious nature and high attention to detail as I want to manage my client’s properties as if they were my own. I thoroughly enjoy that there is never a dull moment in property management and that there is always something new to learn in a situation that you have never encountered before.
I love to laugh and am told I have a great sense of humour and quick wit, which often helps in diffusing a high-tension situation or just releasing the stress with my colleagues.
In my spare time I am a committed and passionate Crossfitter, which reflects my day to day commitment to challenges in property management. Not only do I use Crossfit as an outlet for exercise, but I also compete in solo and team competitions.
After five years working in the hospitality industry where I gained the customer service skills and ability to think on my feet, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. In 2014 I made the move and haven’t looked back since. I began my career as a real estate receptionist and within nine months I was offered my own property management portfolio within the company.
Growing up in Subi, I have always had a fascination with the charming heritage homes in the area and I am excited to be working at The Property Exchange where I get to deal with them on a daily basis. I thrive being in the fast-paced environment and love that there is never a dull moment in property management. I understand every situation is unique and I love putting my head down and using my problem-solving skills to work out the best solution for everyone.
I am a massive animal lover and I am always looking for new places around Perth for my partner and I to walk our greyhounds, Ned and Pippa. On weekends you’ll find me catching up with friends and family over a glass of red, road tripping down south or up north, or at the beach – sometimes all at the same time!
I gained my initial experience in the real estate industry in 2019 as an assistant property manager in Darwin, where I worked for a family owned company. As I have a family who work in real estate, it felt natural to pursue property management as a career. It was the travel bug in me that made the decision to venture to Perth where I have been lucky enough to secure a position with The Property Exchange.
I bring with me several years of experience in customer service and administrative based roles, where I have mastered the art of combining my skills to deliver an exceptional client experience. I am a big believer that all things can be tackled in a proactive manner by developing and maintaining relationships, through being approachable and applying effective communication.
I really love the fast paced environment of property management and that each day you are faced with new challenges. This in its entirety has stimulated my passion for all things real estate and has made me feel as though I have found my calling.
Outside of work hours you will find me at the beach, spending time with family, playing a competitive game of netball, or looking for my next adventure, so it’s safe to say that the beautiful coast of WA sure delivers.
Following in my mother’s footsteps, I started out my real estate career at a boutique agency when I was 16 years old, helping out with admin work after school and on weekends. When I graduated, I moved into full-time reception work at a corporate commercial agency while completing my registration and once completed I landed the job. I put in a lot of hard work to get the job here at The Property Exchange at 19 years of age.
In between my real estate work I have started up two small businesses. My first, being Tan Baby, a mobile spray tanning business and my second which I launched in 2020 called KODE, an online clothing business. Both I still run today alongside my full-time real estate work – so it’s safe to say this busy little bee was made for, and clearly enjoys, the fast-paced and demanding environment of property management!
Real estate has always been something special to me as it has brought my mother and I closer, she helps me with sales, and I help her with property management. We aspire to open up our own agency one day.
Without a doubt, my favourite part of the job is helping people in any way I am capable as well as the wide variety of people I get to meet on a day-to-day basis. Whether it be contractors, colleagues, owners, tenants and everyone in between. Some of the most important people in my life I have met through real estate.
This industry has taught me more than I ever thought it would and it has given me many skills that I have been able to implement into my own businesses and presented me with many challenges that have also benefited me in my everyday life.
One thing we say about property managers is… we don’t know everything, but we know a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff!
When I’m not working for The Property Exchange or on my small businesses, I like to spend time with my friends and most importantly my little sister Lilli. It’s a favourite tradition of ours to try new places to eat at each Friday by picking a suburb name out of a hat or going for a beach swim.
To be sure, yes, I am originally from Ireland and moved to the UK in 1979. I started working in finance/banking until I had my beautiful daughter. The three of us relocated to Australia in 1987, and loved Perth from the moment we arrived!
I began working in real estate with my husband Dave as his Sales Assistant. The office purchased a rent roll in 1995, and so began my property management career! My property management experience now encompasses residential and commercial property management, as well as trust accounting.
The variety and challenges that every day in property management brings give me a pep in my step each day and as well as working alongside The Property Exchange team.
Being Irish, of course I love to sing and are a member of the Perth Irish Choir. I am a member of a bowls club – more for the social side! My other favourite pastimes is enjoying long lunches with good wine in the Swan Valley (which inevitably leads to the singing mentioned above!) or reading a good book.
