Property Management Subiaco (and surrounding suburbs)

Our team is able to provide our clients with a wealth of property management experience.  Our point of difference is that we provide each of our owners with a personalised service and unlike other agencies we have a very low staff turnover.

The Property Exchange provides its staff with excellent working conditions which offers a work life/balance which means everyone here is highly motivated, positive and maintains the highest level of customer service. Everyone works together to take care of paperwork, maintenance, managing tenants and keeping up with legislation so our clients can have freedom and peace of mind, at the same time maximizing their rental income.

We like to take a team approach to managing our clients properties, if for instance your usual property manager is away, there is always one of our experienced team to step in at a moment’s notice. We take the marketing of our rental properties very seriously.  We understand that the current rental market is competitive and we have the market knowledge to ensure your property stands out from the rest.  Our presentation is second to none, and we only accept high-quality properties.

To find out more about the service we provide, please feel free to contact our office on 6380 2200 to arrange an appointment.

What our landlords and tenants say about us…

  • Very professional team from our initial contact with Teneile and Jen right through to viewing inspection, the application process and securing a home. Great communication and highly recommend.

Wendy Tenant - Normanby Road Inglewood - December 2023
  • We purchased a property recently with TPE as the seller’s agent. The communication with us and our conveyancer was excellent. Based on this experience and their knowledge of the area, we chose them to manage our investment property; they have excelled. We have encountered numerous issues to address with the property (plumbing, electrical and minor structural) and Kimberlee and Kaylee have proven extremely competent: clear, prompt, thorough and high quality communication and recommendations. Very efficient and effective at arranging the necessary professionals to address the issues. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a high quality and competent team overseeing the management of our property and couldn’t be more confident going forwards.

Michael Owner - Evans St, Shenton Park - December 2023
  • I cannot speak highly enough of The Property Exchange. I purchased my property just over 12 months ago from them and have just secured the perfect tenant through Kaylee and Teneile. Professional and personalised service from start to finish. Thank you!

Ilona Owner - Moondine Drive, Wembley - December 2023
  • I've really enjoyed my experience so far with Property Exchange. Responses are fast and Kimberlee has been very helpful with all queries and requests. I would highly recommend using the Property Exchange to family and friends.

  • Amazing service. Being a landlord I found Property Exchange very professional and responsive. They make the process seamless and take away all the stress. Highly recommended their service!

Van Landlord - Cosgrove Street, Balcatta - August 2023
  • Team is awesome. This has been a really good experience. Many thanks for caring my property.

Francisco Landlord - Colin Street, West Perth - August 2023
  • The staff have been terrific since taking over the management of my rental property. Nothing has been a problem and Kimberlee has been a standout.

Kevin Owner - Adelaide Terrace, Perth - January 2023
  • What a wonderful experience I had with this business. Set up my home for furnished rental while I was travelling for 9 months. I chose Property Exchange from several possibles agents. Absolute professionals! The trip went pear shaped because of health issues. Very understanding. All good although was unable to travel as planned. I have had years of experience with agent's but Property Exchange was a standout!

Kaylee Ferguson

Partner & Head of Property Management

I started in the real estate industry in 2006 and found a passion for property management that is second to none.  I truly believe that when you are interested in your career learning becomes a hobby rather than a chore, so I have always looked at ways to upskill myself so I could move forward in my chosen career.   With my interest and extra training I worked my way up and through the ranks, touching on all facets of property management and received a number of awards and accolades along the way.

I joined The Property Exchange in 2017 as the Head of Property Management – I think as a leader of a team you need to  lead the team from the front, have time for your team when they need you and be exceptionally knowledgeable in all areas of property management.  Property management is fast paced and unpredictable, something I thrive on and I love using my natural problem-solving skills when there is a problem out of the box.  Thought my career, one thing that always seems to repeats itself – not every problem has the same solution!

My ethos is that real estate is a people business and that every person deserves the same attention and respect – owner, tenant or otherwise! Building strong and authentic relationships with my clients and team is paramount to successful transactions and business alike. Integrity is my number one value – this means that honesty and transparency is what you will get when dealing with me.

In 2020 I had the opportunity to become a shareholder in The Property Exchange, an opportunity I am honoured to have been given. TPE is known for being a brand that does things a little bit different to others in the market, harnessing & embracing change and new technologies and most importantly it’s family culture. All of this filters through to the exceptional customer service experience our clients receive. It’s these things I am passionate about continuing on within the business and excited to build on alongside Niki, Julia and Clare.

From a family of sporting fans, I am a passionate AFL supporter (Go the Tigers!) and keep fit through training at Total Movement in Subiaco – check them out, tell Faye & Tony I sent you! My family & friends mean the world to me, so you’ll most likely find me at a family gathering or catching up with friends for some wining and dining on the weekends. When I need some down time there is nothing better than curling up and getting lost in a good book.

Senior Property Manager

Like so many others in real estate I stumbled upon property management through my sister when she asked me to work at her company in 2009 in New Zealand.  I discovered P.M. not only stands for Property Management but also represents People Management.  This excited me as I love working with people and building repour with clients.

In 2011 I made the plunge across the Tasman ditch and continued my love of real estate and the challenges that it brings.  I love to rise to a challenge.  I have a fastidious nature and high attention to detail as I want to manage my client’s properties as if they were my own.  I thoroughly enjoy that there is never a dull moment in property management and that there is always something new to learn in a situation that you have never encountered before.

I love to laugh and am told I have a great sense of humour and quick wit, which often helps in diffusing a high-tension situation or just releasing the stress with my colleagues.

In my spare time I am a committed and passionate Crossfitter, which reflects my day to day commitment to challenges in property management. Not only do I use Crossfit as an outlet for exercise, but I also compete in solo and team competitions.

Tara Wilton

Senior Property Manager

Following in my mother’s footsteps, I started out my real estate career at a boutique agency when I was 16 years old, helping out with admin work after school and on weekends. When I graduated, I moved into full-time reception work at a corporate commercial agency while completing my registration and once completed I landed the job. I put in a lot of hard work to get the job here at The Property Exchange at 19 years of age.

In between my real estate work I have started up two small businesses. My first, being Tan Baby, a mobile spray tanning business and my second which I launched in 2020 called KODE, an online clothing business. Both I still run today alongside my full-time real estate work – so it’s safe to say this busy little bee was made for, and clearly enjoys, the fast-paced and demanding environment of property management!

Real estate has always been something special to me as it has brought my mother and I closer, she helps me with sales, and I help her with property management. We aspire to open up our own agency one day.

Without a doubt, my favourite part of the job is helping people in any way I am capable as well as the wide variety of people I get to meet on a day-to-day basis. Whether it be contractors, colleagues, owners, tenants and everyone in between. Some of the most important people in my life I have met through real estate.

This industry has taught me more than I ever thought it would and it has given me many skills that I have been able to implement into my own businesses and presented me with many challenges that have also benefited me in my everyday life.

One thing we say about property managers is… we don’t know everything, but we know a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff!

When I’m not working for The Property Exchange or on my small businesses, I like to spend time with my friends and most importantly my little sister Lilli. It’s a favourite tradition of ours to try new places to eat at each Friday by picking a suburb name out of a hat or going for a beach swim.

Jen Romney

Senior Property Manager

With over 3 decades of experience in the Real Estate industry, specifically in Property Management, I have witnessed the highs and lows that come with this ever-changing field.  One of the most significant transformations has been the shift from a desk and paper driven service to one that is now powered by technology and mobility.

However, amidst all these advancements, one thing has remained constant: the importance of establishing a personal connection with the people you meet and fulfilling their expectations of service.   Over the past 30 years I have come to realise that this personal connection is what truly sets us apart.

One of the rewarding aspects of my career has been to witness the ‘light bulb’ moment when the clients finally grasp the overall picture of how today’s property management service is delivered.  It is truly fulfilling to empower people to utilise the technology available to them, streamlining their day-to-day stresses and improving their overall experience.

By counting empathy, care, and transparent communication as the core of my skill set, I strive to make a positive and lasting impression on our clients.  This foundation ensures that every aspect of their journey is fulfilled and achieved.  Building strong relationships and exceeding expectations is what drives me in my career, joining The Property Exchange team provides me with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients.

When I find myself with time on my hands, there is nothing like a chilled glass of rose’, a Netflix classic or spending time with my partner and family.

Mel Orbe

Property Management Assistant

I fell in love with the real estate industry back in 2019, I previously worked as a Customer Service Representative in a US based mortgage company in 2017, the same year I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. In 2019, I started my journey as a Property Management Assistant in a real estate agency in Melbourne, I love meeting new people, different ages, and different races, I love helping people fine their new home and I feel real pleasure for people when they get approved.

Real estate is diverse and that’s what I like about it. I never thought that I’d fall in love with this role, but I believe in destiny, and I am destined to be here helping people.

Fashion designing is my first love and being a fashionista is in my blood, my family and friends say that I am a good cook and I guess, that explains my extra curves HAHAHA! Collecting ecclesiastical arts, photography, sketching, painting, and planting, are a few of my other hobbies. I am also a member of Servants of the Lord Choir in Holy Rosary Parish, and in June 2022, I composed the song “Himno de Santa Cecilia del Ciudad Ángeles” in honor of the patron saint of musicians, Saint Cecilia, it is my humble love offering for the greater glory of God and a very small contribution to our parish and my country’s history in music.
