Niki started out her working life as a psychologist with Mental Health Services after attaining a Bachelor of Psychology at UWA. (She now find this particularly useful when selling homes!)
In 1978 she moved to South Africa for 6 years and got into a career in Public Relations within the hospitality industry, working for the Southern Sun group of hotels Holiday Inns and a very upmarket private Hotel named The Vineyard.
In 1984 she returned to Perth and attained a position as Public Relations Manager of the Merlin Hotel (now The Hyatt) she then 2 years later opened her own version of The Hard Rock Café in Hay Street, Subiaco, which was a resounding success and used to still be humming until the kitchen closed at 3 am in the morning! She ran this until it was bought by Matilda Bay Brewing Company and renamed The Oriel.
In 1988 she started her career in Real Estate in Subiaco and then in 1997 opened The Property Exchange . Twenty years later, “ TPE “as it is fondly known, is still going strong, and has to be one of the most fun places to work anywhere. The work hard, play hard mentality creates a great atmosphere and much humour along the way.
Niki lives in the same house in Claremont that she bought in 1985 with her partner John, but has been thoroughly renovated and extended since then.
Outside of Real Estate Niki is passionate about collecting old cars, anything retro, singing and playing the guitar, her pet parrot Banjo, entertaining friends and travelling the world.
Chelsea has watched her mum, Niki, build the Subiaco real estate business from just a dream to the brilliant success it is today. After years at the company working as a receptionist, sales assistant and marketing coordinator, Chelsea was drawn to the excitement of real estate sales. She completed her real estate Sales Representative Registration and joined her mum in selling Subiaco, Shenton Park and surrounding areas.
Chelsea bought her first property in 2009 which is managed by The Property Exchange.
Outside of work, she loves the beach, Pilates, reading a great book, enjoying good food and sipping on a nice glass of wine…but never all at once!
Clare originally joined The Property Exchange in 1999, shortly after its inception. For the next 11 years, she established the rent roll for the company and built up their portfolio from scratch to over 300 properties.
In 2010 she left to pursue other interests and gained a host of new skills whilst overseeing the operations of another large real estate company, including the tender and sales of residential and commercial developments in Karratha. This involved managing corporate finances, staff recruitment, HR and compliance.
Clare has now re-joined The Property Exchange and brought with her a fantastic injection of positive energy and a wealth of new ideas to the Sale Team, thus propelling it to a new level of efficiency. Her technological ‘know how’, strong focus on proactive activities and immense compassion and drive combine to create the very best outcome for her clients, makes her an incredibly valued member of the team and an enormous asset to the professional and caring environment that has always been our culture.
