The best real estate team and approach! Clare and her team were fantastic. Very knowledgeable of the area and honest in their recommendations and expectations. Their approach to the psychology of selling a house was fantastic. Super friendly and everything explained really well. I think it was only because of their contacts and sales approach that I was able to get the price I did, which considering the market at the moment was better than I expected. There were on the ball the whole time and their communication was fantastic. Would unreservedly recommend them.
Clare Nation's enthusiasm, professionalism and courtesy didn’t wane for an instant. From time to time, one hears of people of whom it is said “Nothing is too much trouble”. But with Clare, that is absolute truth. Not only did she sell my property in an incredibly short time on Christmas Eve, but at the same time managed the endless stream of small details ranging from missing window lock keys to outstanding insurance claims with a simple and cheerful “Don’t worry – I’ll sort it out”! I should also mention Chelsea in the office who was always efficient and fully across anything in respect of the sale I needed to ask her. Niki, good teams are usually the result of a good leader and in this case that is clearly you. Your initial wise counsel, sensible, balanced assessment and the many systems you have set up resulted in a fully professional, streamlined marketing and sales campaign delivered virtually overnight.
We have used The Property Exchange as the management agent for our rental property for 17 years and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We have a number of rental properties and The Property Exchange are by far the best agent we have dealt with. They take great interest in your property and are always on top of managing it. When we finally decided to sell, we decide to use The Property Exchange again. Again, we were not disappointed! They were fantastic and helped us greatly which was essential as we are based in the UK.
Active local agent! Very proactive at all times with great communication skills and very easy to deal with including all staff members.
Super professional agents - Niki and her team helped to sell our house in a single day! They were a pleasure to deal with and extremely organised. Having a team meant that they were all able to dedicate their attention to individual concerns or requests without delays. Niki's process of staging and advertising the house helped draw in the crowd and created great competition for a quick sale. Thanks again Niki, Chelsea and Clare!
The best agent in Subiaco! Niki Peinke and her team worked tirelessly to obtain an offer from our first home open. Her market knowledge and credibility was second to none. We could not fault The Property Exchange.
The Property Exchange shines!! We were confident in engaging Niki Peinke to sell our Subiaco property as she has certainly gained a reputation over many years as THE area specialist. Niki and all the team at The Property Exchange were a pleasure to deal with. Their communication, dedication and enthusiasm were of the highest level and thanks to them, we achieved a very satisfactory sales result - above the minimum asking price and at the first home open!! We can certainly recommend Niki and her team to anyone looking to get the best outcome for the sale of their property. Thanks Niki, Clare Nation, Chelsea Peinke, Chelsea Lansdown and everyone else at The Property Exchange for delivering us a great result at the end of a stress-free journey.
Just a quick note to thank you (Niki), Clare, Chelsea P, Chelsea L and all the team at The Property Exchange for achieving a great result for us. We are "tickled pink" (or should that be orange) in selling Gloster Street so quickly with no fuss, no stress - just a positive experience.
A big thanks to you Niki for selling my home of 29 years within 4.5 weeks of listing. I signed up in a hurry; the afternoon before flying to the US for a month and 3 days after I returned it was a done deal! Thanks for taking care to present my home really well in my absence. The ads looked fabulous; Chelsea took care to keep me up-to-date while I was away; and the end result – two happy parties. While it was a wrench getting out of there after such a long time, Niki and Chelsea made it as smooth as it could possibly be for me.
Highly recommended!! Great advice. Realistic pricing. Fabulous helpful styling which really showed our property to its best advantage. Both Niki and Chelsea were delightful to work with, polite, encouraging and professional.
Niki started out her working life as a psychologist with Mental Health Services after attaining a Bachelor of Psychology at UWA. (She now find this particularly useful when selling homes!)
In 1978 she moved to South Africa for 6 years and got into a career in Public Relations within the hospitality industry, working for the Southern Sun group of hotels Holiday Inns and a very upmarket private Hotel named The Vineyard.
In 1984 she returned to Perth and attained a position as Public Relations Manager of the Merlin Hotel (now The Hyatt) she then 2 years later opened her own version of The Hard Rock Café in Hay Street, Subiaco, which was a resounding success and used to still be humming until the kitchen closed at 3 am in the morning! She ran this until it was bought by Matilda Bay Brewing Company and renamed The Oriel.
In 1988 she started her career in Real Estate in Subiaco and then in 1997 opened The Property Exchange . Twenty years later, “ TPE “as it is fondly known, is still going strong, and has to be one of the most fun places to work anywhere. The work hard, play hard mentality creates a great atmosphere and much humour along the way.
Niki lives in the same house in Claremont that she bought in 1985 with her partner John, but has been thoroughly renovated and extended since then.
Outside of Real Estate Niki is passionate about collecting old cars, anything retro, singing and playing the guitar, her pet parrot Banjo, entertaining friends and travelling the world.
It takes a lot of very careful consideration before the child of a real estate agent decides to follow in their parent’s footsteps! We daughters and sons know first-hand the hard work it takes and the sacrifices that need to be made to succeed in such a competitive and demanding industry.
With this in mind, back in 2005, I thought there would be no harm in sitting on The Property Exchange Saturday reception desk during my Uni years. But fast-forward 14 years of moving from reception, to holiday fill-in, to Marketing Manager and now 5 years in Real Estate Sales – I’m practically part of the furniture! It must have been a trick!
There have been a couple of times that I have searched for roles in other industries, but each time the thought of leaving The Property Exchange team left me feeling very uninspired. There’s nothing better than spending each day in such a vibrant workplace, surrounded by a dedicated team who provide so much fun and support. Real estate sales is darn challenging, but the environment at The Property Exchange keeps me smiling and raises me from strength to strength. Having mum as my mentor and partner is pretty special too.
For me, one of the keys to success in sales is integrity. From my very early years, mum taught me the importance of always doing what you say you’re going to do, being truthful, and being kind. This advice has stuck with me very firmly and strongly guides the way I work. This combines with my perfectionist tendencies to result in a strong work ethic – if I tell you I’m going to do something, I’ll do it and I’ll do it well!
I truly believe in property as an enabler – whilst you may curse the mortgage repayments and maintenance bills, the ownership of property provides you with security, greater flexibility and more choices for the future – it puts you in charge of your own destiny. I bought my first investment property in 2009 which is managed by The Property Exchange, and purchased a beautiful character home with my fiancé in 2018. Outside of work, I love the beach, Pilates, reading a great book, and enjoying good food and wine with friends.
Clare originally joined The Property Exchange in 1999, shortly after its inception. For the next 11 years, she established the rent roll for the company and built up their portfolio from scratch to over 300 properties.
In 2010 she left to pursue other interests and gained a host of new skills whilst overseeing the operations of another large real estate company, including the tender and sales of residential and commercial developments in Karratha. This involved managing corporate finances, staff recruitment, HR and compliance.
Clare has now re-joined The Property Exchange and brought with her a fantastic injection of positive energy and a wealth of new ideas to the Sale Team, thus propelling it to a new level of efficiency. Her technological ‘know how’, strong focus on proactive activities and immense compassion and drive combine to create the very best outcome for her clients, makes her an incredibly valued member of the team and an enormous asset to the professional and caring environment that has always been our culture.
